The Ice Queen
The Ice Queen by Alice Hoffman is about a girl who made a wish to be struck by lightning and then actually was. I really struggled to get through this book. The girl was too obsessed with death and everything gloomy and cold. Needless to say...I do not recommend this book.

Book Review
This is a place where we can share our opinions of books we have escaped from our everyday reality with. This can help those of us who get in a rut of reading only a certain kind of book to know where to branch out to. You can post anything from whether the book was worth picking up, whether you were able to get past the first chapter, or even to give warnings that it might not be for the faint of heart.
